When does the course start and finish?
The course is accessible once you enroll. It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. The workshop is a quick 30 minute lesson, and then it will probably take you about 10-30 minutes to implement.
Don't I need to sign up for Etsy Pattern or Etsy Plus to get a custom domain?
Nope. Anyone can register a domain and point it to ANY other online resource such as an Etsy shop, Facebook business page, Instagram profile, Canva document, or an email opt-in landing page. The possibilities are endless and I'll show you exactly how. This is a perfect in-between step when you're working on your website but not ready to launch yet.
How much does a custom domain cost?
Some domain registrars charge as much as $20-$25 per year. In this workshop, I'm going to reveal exactly where I register all my domains and show you how you can get your own custom domain for less than $7 upfront for your first year.
Should I register my domain through Etsy/Hover?
You can, but you do NOT have to! In this workshop, I'll show you where I register all my own domains and where you can register your own .com for less than $7 upfront for your first year. Etsy has partnered with domain registrar Hover to offer discounts on domain registration for Etsy Plus subscribers. The discount is 50% off your first year domain registration, which should bring the domain cost to ~$9.49 (still more than registering a new domain where I get mine!)
